Refund Policy: The Essentials
We are committed to using every dollar effectively to advance meningitis awareness. Here is how we handle financial transactions:

Donations: Contributions are generally non-refundable, as they are immediately allocated to our advocacy and educational programs. If you made a technical error (like a duplicate charge), please contact us within 30 days.

Event Tickets: For our fundraising events and galas, tickets are refundable up to [e.g., 14 days] before the event. After that, we’re happy to convert your ticket cost into a tax-deductible donation.

Processing Fees: Please note that transaction fees charged by third-party platforms (like credit card processors) are often non-refundable.

Merchandise: We offer replacements or refunds for items that arrive damaged. All other merchandise sales are final to ensure maximum funding goes toward our mission.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

At The Guardians of Youth Foundation, we rely on the generosity of our community to fund life-saving meningitis awareness and advocacy programs. To ensure transparency and the best use of our resources, we have established the following guidelines regarding refunds.
1. Donations

General Donations: As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all charitable donations are generally considered non-refundable. These funds are immediately put to work supporting our public health initiatives.

Errors in Giving: If you have made an error in the amount of your donation or if a duplicate transaction occurred, please contact us at info@thegoyfoundation.org within 30 days. We will work with you to rectify the error and process a refund if applicable.
2. Event Registrations (e.g., Fundraising Galas)

Cancellations: If you are unable to attend a ticketed event, such as our holiday gala, you may request a refund up to [e.g., 14 days] prior to the event date.

Processing Fees: Please note that any third-party processing fees incurred at the time of purchase may be non-refundable.

Donation Conversion: In lieu of a refund, many of our supporters choose to convert their ticket price into a fully tax-deductible donation. Please let us know if you would like a donation receipt for this purpose.

Event Cancellation: In the unlikely event that The Guardians of Youth Foundation must cancel an event, all registrants will be notified immediately and offered a full refund.
3. Merchandise & Awareness Kits

Defective Items: If you receive a damaged or defective item from our store (e.g., awareness wristbands or educational toolkits), please notify us within 15 days of receipt for a replacement or refund.

Change of Mind: To keep our administrative costs low, we typically do not offer refunds for "change of mind" on merchandise.
4. Chargebacks and Disputes
We encourage our supporters to reach out to us directly regarding any payment concerns before contacting their bank. This allows us to resolve the issue more quickly and ensures that more of our funds stay focused on our mission rather than administrative fees.
