I had the incredible privilege of stepping into the Fox 26 News studio to discuss a cause close to my heart and an event that embodies its spirit.  I was able to share a powerful personal story and invite the entire community to a truly special event. The screens behind us may have displayed the iconic 'FOX 26 NEWS' logo, but the conversation was about something much bigger than just headlines.

Here is a recap of that meaningful interview.

Stepping Into the Fox 26 Studio

The experience of a live news interview is always intense, but in the best way. When you enter a professional studio like Fox 26, the energy is palpable. The lighting, the crew, the large curved screens that define the space—they all create a focused, high-stakes environment. I am so grateful to Fox 26 and their team for giving us this critical platform. The opportunity to speak directly to the city was invaluable.

Sharing Saniah’s Story

When the cameras rolled, the conversation immediately shifted from the setting to the substance. For the first time on live television, I was able to share the heart of our mission: Saniah’s Story.

Sharing this narrative was a moment of profound vulnerability, yet one I knew was necessary. Saniah's legacy is the foundation of everything we do. Telling her story was not just about recalling a moment, but about detailing the love, the resilience, and the purpose that drives our advocacy. It was about defining why this work is so personal, so urgent, and so full of meaning. Hearing the team ask thoughtful questions allowed me to really articulate the core of our organization and the message we hope to carry forward in her name.

The Event: Hitting a Home Run for Her Legacy

The real focus of the interview, of course, was to connect that story to action. This led us to our upcoming Home Run Dugout Event.

We wanted to create an event that was not just about reflection, but about proactive, positive change. A "home run" is the ultimate achievement in a baseball game—it’s a powerful, game-changing moment. We envision this event as a metaphorical "home run" for advocacy, building a bridge between awareness and tangible support.

It was an honor to promote this event on air. I described it as a day where community, sport, and memory meet for a good cause. We wanted to make sure viewers understood the event's purpose: creating a positive space for healing, memory-making, and collective action. All proceeds and funds raised from this event will go directly toward The Guardians Of Youth Foundation, supporting future advocacy initiatives.

Join Us in the Dugout

If you saw the interview and were moved by Saniah's story, we invite you to be part of the action. This event is for everyone. It is a day of fun, memory, and, most importantly, impact. Let's make this day a home run for Saniah’s legacy.

We can’t wait to see you there. Look out for the full video segment, coming soon to our media page!
