At The Guardians of Youth (GOY) Foundation, our mission is fueled by a commitment to education, community engagement, and proactive public health advocacy. Recently, we had the incredible opportunity to bring that mission to the forefront at The Immunization Partnership Townhall in Houston.
It was a true honor to attend the townhall, share my personal story, and stand alongside fellow advocates to champion the critical cause of Meningitis Prevention.
A Room Full of Purpose
The Houston Public Health Townhall was a powerful gathering that brought together an inspiring mix of:
 * Public health professionals
 * Local healthcare providers
 * Dedicated community partners
Together, we engaged in a vital, much-needed conversation centered around immunization and the current landscape of public health in Texas. For us, every opportunity to speak up is a step closer to ensuring that families, educators, and students have the life-saving knowledge they need to stay protected against meningitis.
Thank You, Houston!
An advocacy movement is only as strong as its community. We want to extend a massive thank you to everyone who attended the townhall, shared their unique perspectives, and lent their voices to make this discussion incredibly meaningful.
What’s Next?
This townhall was just the beginning. The energy in the room made one thing perfectly clear: our communities are ready for change, education, and action. We look forward to continuing these essential conversations across the state of Texas to ensure no community is left behind in the fight for public health and preventative care.
